And it could be dangerous! I had my first shopping trip as a member of Costco yesterday. It took a lot of self control, but I managed to get out of there spending only $50.00. I got fabulous snacks (jumbo pack of go-gurts, granola bites, skinny cows (yummy low-fat ice cream sandwiches), mandarin oranges, apples), a gift for a baby shower, and a gingerbread house kit. (I think that's all). I ate lunch there (a delicious chicken caeser salad), and saw about 10 people that I knew. I didn't realize that Costco was the hang out! I felt pretty cool when my mother-in-law went to check out, and I said, "She's with me".

I can't believe you've gotten by for so long without being a member! Welcome to the club! We love Costco too...I'm impressed that you were able to control your spending...that's the only thing I DON'T like about that place!

Oh Dean, your life will never be the same again. . .and I mean financially. Try about $300 shorter on your bank account each month! But I wouldn't trade my membership for anything. I'm a Costco addict. If you are trying to save money, whatever you do, DON'T walk through the stacks of clothes. It's my weakness. Welcome!

$50.00 that is some self control. I will have to say that the gas is worth the card it is always cheaper. That reminds me I need more toilet paper comes in a 24 pack. Enjoy your shopping there.
That must mean I am the ONLY person left without a Costco membership now. But the good news is that all my friends have one. I'll just keep saving my money then, although a chicken Caesar salad sounds so yummy right now.

How have you survived for so long? $50 bucks huh, that pretty amazing. I rarely make it out under $100. Its no wonder I keep my trips to once a month!

Costco is a good and a bad place for sure. If I take Doug with me we seem to always leave with more than what I came for. Too many good deals....
