Tradition!

Because of COVID, all of our extended family gatherings were canceled this year. Bowling and pizza are normally part of the festivities every year. We decided to do our own bowling and pizza outing (Liv was helping Kamryn babysit Brad and Becca’s boys). We all had a great time! The people bowling in the lane next to us had had a little (or a lot) to drink and were entertaining to watch! They were very kind and thanked me profusely when I offered to take their picture when I saw that they were having a hard time getting everyone in the screen. They were sweet people and I hope they got home ok.

After we were finished bowling, I had everyone go in to the bathroom to wash their hands with soap and water to make sure we had at least a fighting chance of not taking the plethora of bowling alley germs with us. When the boys came out of the bathroom, a few of them were saying how disgusting it smelled in the boys bathroom...and then Warren and Briggy said they didn’t smell anything! (A symptom of COVID.). We did a bunch of sniff tests when we got home, and nada. They couldn’t smell anything. That began our 10 day quarantine. We all slowly got symptoms throughout the next few days and all tested positive (except Sean. I have no idea how he has escaped it!).

We went home and ordered pizza to keep the tradition alive and hunkered down to prepare for our quarantine life.
