Three Boys Cool Toys

Two Boys Cool Toys had a guest today! Alex got to go with David and Briggy to buy their toys to unbox, so he got to be one of the big boys!

 

Happy Love Day!

     Sometimes "fun mom" makes an appearance around here. She used to stop by more frequently, but         she got tired for a few years. I like to be fun mom.

     I'm glad she felt up to it this Valentines Day because it made for a fun day!

After church we did a treasure hunt to find a small gift for each of the kids. When we do stuff like this, I'm reminded of the age gap of my kids. The younger boys were so excited! They ran from clue to clue anxiously awaiting their treasure. The teenagers were mostly just annoyed that I woke them up from their three hour nap to participate. Warren was somewhere in between. They all liked their gifts, though, and seemed happy when all was said and done. We got Wendy's gift cards for the older three and Shopkins for the younger three.

-Yesterday Briggy was telling me about a funny part of a movie he had just watched.  He said, "And then, the guy with the naked hair did this..."

-The other day David was outside playing and hit his head on the play castle.  He came in crying.  Alex doesn't like it when people are sad.  He (Alex) looked at me and said, "Dadid sad?".  I said, "Yes.  David hit his head on the castle.  Darnit."  Alex got out of my arms, walked over to David with his head tilted to the side and said (very compassionately with his arms outstretched to David), "Aww. Darnit.  Hug."  It melted my heart!
