He can hardly contain his excitement. Just now he came back out of his room (where he was all tucked in and ready for bed) to measure himself against his big brother so he can see how much taller he is in the morning, when he's 5. Today at church the Primary President called him up to the front to sing a happy birthday tune to him. She said, "David, you have a birthday coming up, don't you?" He said (grinning from ear to ear and holding up one finger), "Only one more sleep!" This evening as the sun was setting he came up to me and said, "Mom, it's almost bedtime!" The time has arrived. The last sleep is underway. Here is his wish list for tomorrow:
- Sausage and blue pancakes to be served on the tea set dishes
- Three real fish (all of which to be named "Everything")
- Spiderman gloves with real powers
- A real rainbow car to drive on the sidewalks
- Mario Sports Mix (for the Wii)
- A giant storytelling box that he can climb into to make up stories (just like Pinky Dinky Doo)
I'm not sure how much of his wish list will be fulfilled, but I think it will be a good day nonetheless.
